All is well on board and we have both managed some sleep in what became a very busy night! As expected the wind gradually veered SW so eventually (03.00) we had to gybe to avoid heading too far east. We also have started to meet the “easterners” – so Enigma (Class 4 winner) has been abeam of us most of the night, Fidelitas has passed us (she’s Class 3 or 2 I Think) and also Bonkers. Bliss (who else!!??) also appeared abeam of us yesterday evening for a bit and we chatted to Maddy who is doing well as usual. It was also a windy night so it was just as well we had stowed the Genoa and had the Yankee up, and we put a reef in too. And it rained!

I am about to download some weather so will write more later. I also need to watch Enigma carefully as now that we have poled out the yankee our courses are converging! We can’t quite lay Lizard (still a long way ahead) but we want to be further west anyway!
