Combarro to Bayona

ALICE'S ADVENTURES

After a very wet day in Combarro , the next day was sunny so we set off for the Islas Cies.  A beautiful spot.  We anchored and then went ashore for a walk.  The sunset and moonrise were beautiful and it was even warm enough to eat dinner in the cockpit.  The following morning we walked up to the top lighthouse - what a stunning view from there.  After leaving a family of dolphins came and showed off their baby to us which was delightful.  We went into Bayona as Debbie and Mark had to leave from Vigo and the forecast was for heavy rain again.  In fact the rain didn't arrive until Thursday evening.  Debbie and I spent a morning at the shops and in the afternoon we all walked round the old fort which now houses the Parador hotel.  We went out for two wonderful dinners here - one to a restaurant with a view over Islas Cies and the next with the most extensive wine list Mark had seen in Spain!  Very enjoyable evenings.  Unfortunately the time came to say our farewells this morning.  The next time we see them should be in Antigua about Christmas / New Year.
Next stop Portugal!

I am very pleased to have my washing machine!  This lady was hard at work in Combarro.
