Over 2000 miles now

ALICE'S ADVENTURES
ANDREW AND CELIA SHARPE
Sun 5 Dec 2010 12:08
We have now done over 2000 miles and have 1169 to go to
St Lucia. We have been sailing really well for over 30 hours now.
Wind strengths have varied between 5 and 25 knots over that time. We had a
top speed of 11.3 knots. Our best day so far.
We have tried different watch systems depending on the
conditions and until everyone was used to the boat. Now we are doing 2
hours each overnight which means that everyone gets more sleep. Now its
only the skipper who doesn't get a lot of sleep as he is constantly listening
out for changes in the boat and sails. Andrew only gets 2 to 3 hours sleep
at a stretch but seems to be thriving on this tho and really enjoying
himself.
