ALICE'S ADVENTURES
ANDREW AND CELIA SHARPE

Finally got out of the fog in Trebeurden on Tuesday and got along the coast to LAberwrach.  We stayed overnight on a buoy and made a very early start to get through the Chanel du Four.  The weather was kind to us and we made such good progress that we carried on down to the Raz de Sein.  This channel is notorious and can be horrendous but on the day we went through it was calm and spectacular.  Saw two lots of dolphins on the way, the second pod had about 20 who played around the boat for a while before carrying on their way.  Stayed at Benodet for two nights.  Got led astray by a neighbouring boatful of Irish people.  They insisted that Andrew partake in a whisky tasting!  It would have been rude not to!!!   A lovely day there with a motor up the River Odet in the dinghy with Paul and James.  The day finished with a delicious dinner cooked by Ann on Lacoushla.  This morning we made the short trip round to Concarneau.  Briefly spoke to the designer of our boat, Bill Dixon who was moored in here on his boat Tikka.

This a a fascinating walled town - a smaller version of St Malo.  Packed with tourists and lots of street entertainers.
