Alice is now in Berthon Marina in Lymington and is nearly ready to go. The waterline is definitely a lot lower after several trips to the supermarket! We are just waiting to pick up a new sail and an EPIRB, a final food shop and then we will be as prepared as we are ever going to be. Unfortunately the weather has other ideas! A southerly force 8 gale is forecast for tomorrow so it will probably be the weekend before we get away. First stop will hopefully be Guernsey. Lizzie is setting sail with us. We are really proud of her and happy that she has got a job starting in September teaching at St Aldhelms School in Poole. She stays with us as far as La Rochelle.
