Dear all

We are leaving Figueira  to go to an unscheduled stop at Nazare , we should have been going to Peniche but the pontoons had been damaged and were not ready to be occupied by the Rally boats , so we went to Nazare for one night .

Nazare is a small marina with new pontoons and as usual we were made to feel very welcome by the Marina staff , who together with the Rally Portugal staff help all the boats tie up to the pontoons , it was a short notice stop but the organisation was Tip Top , Andrew and Paul from Rally Portugal really do work very hard to ensure the trip runs smooth and all the rally are pleased with them. We are not pleased with our result in this leg as we chose to go out to sea to get a better wind , but the boats that stayed inshore had a better run , so although we pulled it back at the end we just run out of time. So we are not hopeful of a top  three place.

Tomorrow we leave for Peniche  but on the way we are stopping to anchor at an island which is famous for its wild life.

Regards to all
