Our
crew arrived on Tuesday, one from Canada and one from the UK. Lorraine and Jim
are settling in and recovering whilst we finish preparations for the crossing.
Unfortunately, our weather is a bit problematic: the Azores High has not formed,
and a series of lows has been forming to the east and marching across the
Atlantic. A nasty one seems to be heading towards Bermuda and arrive Sat/Sun, so
there are likely to be high winds off the island if we leave tomorrow.
We
are using Chris Tibbs again to forecast for us and provide routing advice, so
have his professional expertise to rely on. At present, it looks as if we may
not be moving till Tuesday, but things can change. Watch
this space… Watergaw |
