This
was a 25 mile run, again with limited wind, but we manage to make slow progress
with the island, but it looked very exposed in the prevailing winds, so we kept
going round the south west corner to the French side of the island, and anchored
in Marigot Bay – which proved to be every bit as rolly! We
have not seen a Southerly yacht since reaching the Caribbean, so were taken
aback to find that we had settled immediately behind another 135! They came over
in the morning to say hello, but were leaving leaving later in the day, so we
did not have much time for a conversation – but they did give us some directions
for the customs office, which is (as usual), not where the pilot book
suggests! Watergaw
