Day 7 Boarded by fish

We were attacked by fish in the night - well, one
fish anyway. To my great surprise we found this flying fish, unfortunately dead,
lying on the deck this morning. I had never expected to see this fish so far
north. I find them endlessly amusing, shooting out of the waves in front of
us and gliding over the waves sometimes for 400m or more. They can even
steer using not just the wing-fins but also the lower part of the
tailfin as a rudder in the water beneath them. A real marvel of
evolution.
