Have tried to send this blog, but it disappeared, so will try again. (Think
it may have had too many pictures)
The first day out of Port Lincoln was a glass off which went into the
night. It became quite an oily sea with all the stars out – no
cloud. Felt like we were floating along in space. The Southern Cross
was very low in the south, just above the horizon and reflecting off the water –
sensational! Then the biggest, brightest meteorite shot across the sky
just to the left of the Southern Cross and disappeared over Antarctica – lit the
whole sky up..................
Daw Is and a ‘friendly’ welcome
I will send this blog and do another shortly with more photos, as I don’t
think the
system can handle much
more..................... |
