Crossing the Bight - Meteorites

Have tried to send this blog, but it disappeared, so will try again. (Think it may have had too many pictures)
The first day out of Port Lincoln was a glass off which went into the night.  It became quite an oily sea with all the stars out – no cloud.  Felt like we were floating along in space.  The Southern Cross was very low in the south, just above the horizon and reflecting off the water – sensational!  Then the biggest, brightest meteorite shot across the sky just to the left of the Southern Cross and disappeared over Antarctica – lit the whole sky up..................
