Position as at 09.30 GMT this morning.
Still seeing high seas and lots of rolling. We are
now South of the Tropic of Cancer but the weather remains changeable with
squally showers. The boat is going great but a part of the windvane fell
off so we are having to rely on the Autohelm which is a big consumer of
electrical power. This means we have to run either the main engine or generator
for long periods each day to charge the batteries. Xavier is going to do
more steering by hand to reduce power useage.
Progress is good and we are managing to average
over 6 knots and at this rate we should get to St Lucia in under 20 days; only
another 16 to go!
