Time 0053 BST Monday 14/5/18

Days 12 & 13 – Broad reach with 10 – 15 Kns of wind – perfect

Johny caught our first fish of the trip Saturday evening. A big 30+pound dorado. It fought all the way and pulled the line off the reel at full friction on a few occasions. Photo to follow when we get to the Azores.

We had a fish supper last night complete with peas and chips

890 Nm to Horta and a good forecast for the next 4 days. Good pleasant progress

Using the autohelm at the moment as the wind is too light for the Hydrovane to work on a broad reach. The Hydrovane has now been christened Hydi (in Heidi’s honour – same pronounciation)
