                | Sines - June 20th/21st ================ The next leg was 50m down to Sines - this was a
frustrating leg for us as we suffered with foul tides, light winds and
strong gusts (one which almost broached us - but for the cat light reactions of
our skipper). All that said we also had some very good sailing
and Terry and I had a lot of fun on the foredeck playing with the
cruising chute. We crossed the finishing line at 19:28 and at
todays results presentation found out that we came 5th overall (which with all
the issues on the day was a good result). So to date we have a 2nd, 2nd, 5th,
4th, 5th (15 yachts in the rally). Tomorrow we have a 06:30 start for the
final leg to Lagos where your intrepid reporter will return home - to be
replaced by the far more competant (she can write poems!) and
of course far better looking Gail ! Attached a couple of pics of
Sines... Bob the boy |
