The mangroves gave way to huge hardwood forests, followed by tall bamboo, followed by pastoral farmland with cattle. The river was wide and deep after clearing the sand bar, which only had 3 feet of water and many deadheads (trees/tree stumps/big branches) washed down the river and stuck on the sandbank.

Bulls were all chained and staked about 30 meters apart, mostly often stuck out in the hot sun. Cows were all on the opposite bank, congregating in the shade.
Our turnaround point 5 miles inland from the ocean. At the bridge the river shallows.
Stunning plants
Terrapin sunning himself on bamboo
Egrets
Beautiful Breadfruit trees
