Friendship Bay, Bequia Island
Having realized that it was the Easter weekend, and that on arrival in the BVI, the official offices would all be closed til Tuesday, we decided to hang out in Friendship Bay to waste some time before departing for the BVI’s. Although the bay was protected from the wind, the swell rounded into the bay, making it rolly. However the water was clear and Nicholas did some time in the water scrubbing the water-line and a bit of the hull which is beginning to grow a moss of seagrass.
On Good Friday around lunch time we weighed anchor, set a full Main and Genoa and set off on our 400 mile passage to BVI’s.
