Hi All,
Have arrived in Tortola and now looking for some
relaxation.....had a good trip down with the first two days being better than
planned, but still cold weather sailing while crossing the gulf stream that was
very well behaved for us. Then we had about a whole week of light winds from the
SW at 10 -15 knots, just lovely, but took us away east, so we finally tacked
over and found plenty of wind in the last few days - blowing up to 33 knots at
the end - bit tiring, but gave a good opportunity to see how Kachina handled -
which for a heavy old girl she did extremely well. So did 1533 NM in 10 days and
22 hours, with three of those days motor-sailing.
Just had a few beers and a burger for lunch so now
to sleep, Rach &
Richard. |
