Heroes Acre, Harare. A huge, and impressive monument built in remembrance of those freedom fighters who fought against the White Ian Smith oppression. From my friend;’s reaction when I said I visited there, it would appear that few if any ‘white’ people go there, as it is biased towards the Freedom Fighters views of life, and is a tool of Mugabe’s brainwashing. For me it was an opportunity to understand more about this amazing country, whose people are so free yet so captive, and are almost an enigma to how we humans work today.
