(I'm the one in the hat! I was trying not to get sunburnt.)
In the afternoon, we spent time setting up for our party for the Covey Island team who made us such a beautiful boat. Keith and Laurie from the Sail Inn where we are staying suggested that we ask Mike to bring his portable barbecue, which we did. Mike is yet another character. He is from Quebec and so speaks Canadian English in a charming Canadian French accent.
Here is Mike dishing up a sausage and onions to Curtis.
The party was great fun and a much deserved thank you to the whole Covey Island team.
Here's Ian (pink shirt and cap on the left) with a few of the team.
Ian made a speech and everybody laughed when he gave the team a bottle of rum for next Friday's lunch time session - a tradition in the Covey Island yard. Colin was designated to accept it but we're now not sure if the bottle will keep until next Friday.
We got to learn during the course of the evening just how multi- talented Colin and Bill are. Here they are doing blue grass.
Colin, the one on the right, also maintained that he is the best cook in Lunenburg and that next time we should employ him to do the barbecue instead of Mike.
It was a great day for all of us, including Elemiah, who continued to look serenely beautiful throughout. She is still not yet ready even for us to take her out for a sail. The guys are working on her over the weekend.
Have a great weekend.
