Tahitiwill be home for some time to come I mean its
all here absolutely majectic scenery, think Jurassic park without the big
lizards and you may be close, the people are very friendly despite being
governed by the French!!!! We tried to board a flight today, the worlds shortest
scheduled flight, from Tahiti to Moorea takes 5 minutes, we were told we
could not board without passports (its domestic) so we had them delivered by the
boat captain, arrived 3 minutes before take off, we were the only passengers,
all 5 of us but the ground staff told us the flight was closed as the French
Captain needed his lunch so wanted to get back to Moorea!!! Precious stuff could
not make it up!!! Think of the travel agent in Little BRitain who coughs in your
face after she tells you your flights full, this was her, after telling us the
flight was closed, the plane was 10 feet away, she delighted in telling us the
next one was full!!
Think the next port of call can wait for a while
this is jus too much fun after the Pacific crossing.
