Just emerged from the doldrums, we hope, and are
now under sail on a direct bearing to Hiva oa. Winds are picking up a little and
we are skipping along at 9.5 kts, major incidents so far; we ran out of diet
coke last night which is causing some consternation, not quite at the
stage where we start conserving our urine, we still have Heineken which no
one wants to touch, also Will has ran out of cigarettes but everybody is
happy about that and look forward to his worsening moods. Still no real dramas
to speak of and we expect to cruise into the Marquessa Islands in the next 5-6
days, Tahiti is a further 800kts from our first land fall so we will be
cruising around the Islands for a couple of weeks to come.
