the two hour trip from St. Georges to Prickly Bay the day before Spindrift was
lifted out of the water to be stored ashore at Spice Island Marine Services
boatyard. As we
were due to be the first boat lifted at 0800 the next morning, we were able to
spend the night in the lifting dock which meant that most of the final
decommissioning of Spindrift could be done
there. Nevertheless, there was still 2 or 3 hours to finish off
after the
lift. So this
season’s cruising is over and we have one night in a hotel before flying back to
the very cold and damp UK on 20th
March. |
