Currently in Kuna Yala, the San Blas Islands part
of Panama, 08:59:79N 77:45:44W.
We have said our farewells to Colombia pleased that
we spent the time to explore a little off the beaten track and enjoyed 3 nights
in the Rosario Islands and 2 nights further south at Tintipan. Actually it
rained most of the time at Tintipan so things looked somewhat gloomy but
Balvenie was clean - for a little while.
We had a 6am wake up call from a Coastguard/Naval
boat, 3 officiers came aboard and checked our passports and zarpe
(Colombian exit papers), they were all very professional, said it was fine to
stay another night and went on their way.
So we have now done an overnight trip to Panama,
with wind on the beam then forward of the beam as we closed on land - that was
not in the forecast and Balvenie is now covered in salt water
again. Lightening flashed in the distance around us all night, a little
spooky.
More blog updates will be posted with photos when
we have internet, right now we don't even have cellphone
