Hi, We broke our distance record again yesterday( Sunday - Monday )- 190nm - 183nm in the right direction after crossing the start line!
A good days sailing 2m + swell with 20-30+ NE wind, with only a minor problem which was solved using the emergency hacksaw! The out haul on the roller main was stuck, the line had jumped of the roller on the pulley and got thoroughly jammed between the roller and the pulley! Thus the need for Colin to hacksaw it in 2. A new one was installed and all is well again. ( Except Alan wants Colin to mend the pulley - fat chance). The days have been sunny despite the haze from the Saharan sand blowing over the area.
It was very starry last night and we were surrounded by Bears - We had Ursula Major behind us, Ursula Minor above us and racing ahead of us was S/Y Sea Bear! Mr D is doing the cooking today- so its chicken surprise tonight.
Love to all from Team Weohgi, Alan, Avryl, Andy and Colin xxxx
