Yesterday was a busy day changing sails due to wind gusts, even in the middle of night. All is well and we are "just over half way"! We are also 10th in our class and we think 17th overall at the moment. Forecast is still good and we broke our day record again - 185 nm. We are settling in to our watch patterns and lack of real sleep pattern and the hydrovane is working well still.
We have been asked – what do you do all day? We all have different routines and watches. The person on watch changes every 3 hours and we have 1 x 4 hour to change the time of day.
I did the 5 to 8  shift this morning and will be on 6 to 9 this evening. Most mornings we have breakfast about 9 – muesli, fruit salad and yogurt with coffee and tea. Lunch is a sandwich or salad with fruit – keeping the scurvy at bay. We are trying to have dinner about 6pm as it is dark by 7. The 1st two evening we were unsure of what we were eating! Last night I did a chicken casserole 1 pot surprise, followed by fresh pineapple and a beer! We all retire to bed depending on when our night shift is. Everything takes much longer to do, especially in the galley as you are leaning at 33 degrees trying to stand up before to cook etc.! The boys take it in turns to do a “Chaffing and rig check” touring the decks. Andy got us testing our brains with a quiz. We are trying to do the ARC blog as well as this one. Providing it’s not too rough!
Love to you all from Team Weohgi, Avryl, Alan Colin and Andy xxx
