Yesterday morning everything changed.  The wind dropped, the sun shone out of a cloudless blue sky, the sea sparkled and at noon, accompanied by Theo we were on our way.  We had the newly-cut mainsail up and the engine running as well and arrived in Gozo at 3 pm.  The conditions were perfect for a sea trial, and we could see land all the way.  We are in a small harbour called Mgarr.  The Malta ferry goes from here, but apart from the ferry, some fishermen and a few power boats, we seem to be the only people living on board here.

Ian Kingsly-Brown and Pete met us on the quay and we went for 'tea' (red wine) in Ian's lovely flat overlooking the harbour. We had a few drinks in a fisherman's bar and dinner in an excellent Italian restaurant.

The pace of life seems very slow.  I think we are going to enjoy Gozo.
