Good morrow from twenty or so miles south of the Algarve heading southeast towards the Straits of Gibraltar, about 120 miles ahead. Gillian is in London for the next week so I am blogsitting. I left Lisbon this time yesterday and headed due south to Cape St. Vincent, that’s the one on the far east corner of Portugal and Europe. So far anything with the word Cape in it has been a right sod, but the good Saint Vincent was having a night off, no doubt merely regrouping before the next onslaught. Mind you the lighthouse on its cliff top went on the blink, well actually off the blink I suppose, five miles out but it was all pretty clear in the moonlight above and radar below. Better get back to my chores topsides, more from Gib this time tomorrow, but so far so good, she’s a good old girl who is looking after us really well, and Vasco is not doing too badly either.
