We have reached the Spanish Main. We sailed
into La Coruna this morning at 7.30. Although yesterday we had a great
sail as it was sunny and hot and we sped across the huge cobalt blue Atlantic
waves, by the evening it turned cold and very dark and I had the most
uncomfortable night so far - and I was in the cabin. Ian and Tim had to
steer Vasco manually through rain and wind as the back up autopilot would not
work in the choppy seas. Today everyone is resting. We are
provisioning the boat and setting sail tonight to round Cape Finisterre and
continue south.
