UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Out into the North Atlantic at last to reach the physically and historically rich archipelago of St. Kilda.
We had to hang around in Harris waiting for a weather window to get there and even then faced an upwind slog. Fierce squalls rushing down the cliffs into the anchorage, full winter clothes and the incongruous presence of a modern army base added to the strangeness.
