WHAT A DAY!!!

Touched bottom as we entered the river, and then sailed up river for 30 miles seeing - not much!  Paul spotted one proboscis monkey, and then we hit something which we think was a crocodile....nuff said.   After 4 hours of nothing we were beginning to despair, and decided to anchor by 1600.  Anyway, we decided to keep going until 1700 and 1630 we (Paul) spotted a family group of proboscis monkeys, and then about 20 minutes later we (Paul) heard an elephant trumpet. We ended up spending over an hour watching a herd of at least 20 pygmy elephants feeding by the river bank. Brilliant.  We anchored and watched for nearly an hour until it got dark, and now we are overnighting 20 feet off the river bank........

I will try and attach a photo....
