After 10 days on the hard at Royal Phuket Marina, we launched yesterday and sailed up the coast a few miles to Ao Po Grand Marina. All the repairs completed seem OK. New line cutter on the main shaft, new main shaft cutlass bearing, and 2 seized through hulls repaired. We will be staying alongside for a few days while we await the recovered salon cushions and new awnings to be delivered. On the electronics side we are waiting for the installation of a new fixed DSC VHF radio and AIS system, and 2 cameras, one for the engine room and one on the aft deck. These will be connected to the new nav display in the wheelhouse - the wheelhouse is definitely beginning to take on a "glass cockpit" feel to it. We now have the new nav display and the 2 old chartplotters which were repaired in Hong Kong all installed and working.
We will now stay in Phuket until Christmas - possibly with our new American friends Sharon and John of Dionysus - they truly are as the greek god's name implies, bringer's of ritual madness and ecstacy.
