After a 50 hour motor we reached the "motorway that is the Strait of Singapore. Two "lanes" of high speed supertankers and large cargo ships at about 3 to 4 minute intervals doing in excess of 20kts. All you have to do is cross the lanes at 90 degrees with no right of way. Actually it was pretty "strait" forward - deep breath and try and hit the stern of one ship which gave loads of room before the next one - they don't half look big close up though!
