Still struggling against the SW wind, no fish today but excellent curry last night and again for lunch today. If you think life revolves round food, youâre absolutely right.Letâs face it, the topics are really other ships, birds flying around, what book weâre reading, lessons in Australian culture, discussions about flags and how to make the wind pilot work. The windpilot is a big lump of grey metal stuck on the back, or a fine piece of engineering, depending on your outlook, which steers without using electricity, so leaving more for charging ipods etc. It does however need attention from time to time, and gives up when the wind is light. The boys think itâs good, I think itâs it a close relative of the spinnaker!!
Anyway, weâll keep going until we pick up the SE trades and hopefully speed up then.
