Well, what a day!
1 Bernie washed hair in saltwater with a fresh water rinse â feels fantastic.

2 Fishing boat appeared on port side, came behind us and then in front and stopped. We tacked away and he followed, and unfortunately we then got one of their lines round our rudder, which we cut free. It was entirely unclear what were their intentions, and we felt quite uncomfortable, when a second fast boat appeared â it became apparent that there were miles of bouyed lines and presumably nets, over a large area, with a high probability of causing damage to either us or the nets or both. In the end, we got out of the hassle and continued on our way. Hopefully as we leave Galapagos behind, the risk of fishing vessels will be less.

3 As you can see from our position, we crossed the equator at 14.26 our time. We paid homage to Neptune with Jaimisons, clos red wine and ginger biscuits, and asked for safe passage, so hopefully that will do the trick.

So with all that, not much time for anything else until dinnertime, spam and vegetable stew. The carrots have gone rotten and there is something dead in the bottom of the fridge, will investigate tomorrow.
