We have been sailing for 5 years started at Jacksonville
Florida where we bought Roxy in February 2006. We sailed down to
Margarita and stayed during hurricane season thereafter up the islands and
then back again and over to ABC and Panama. Our intention was to go through the
canal 2007 but we liked San Blas and stayed there for a year with some trips to
Cartagena Colombia.
In February 2008 did we go through the canal and the
milk run through pacific ending up in Sydney December 2008.
We stayed in Sydney until April 2009 having a great time
with our two sons Fredrick and Christian and 2 grandsons Christo and Harry
who live there. On Christina's birthday our daughter Stephanie flew down
from England and it was the first time for 19 years the whole family was
together on Christina's birthday.
In April 2009 we sailed to New Caledonia and Vanuatu and
stayed until beginning September when we sailed via PNG and Indonesia and
Malaysia up to Phuket Thailand and arrived in December 2009. Up to April
2010 did we cruise between Phuket and Langkawi thereafter down to Singapore,
Malaysian east cost and then over to Borneo with a lot of River
excursions.
We sailed back to Phuket In October 2010.
Since then have we made a 7 month extensive refit
of Roxy and our next plan is to sail to Sydney leaving from here hopefully on
the 20th. Our route will be down to Singapore over to Borneo and then north of
PNG spend time in Solomon's and thereafter head down to Brisbane and Sydney
where we hope to arrive in beginning December.
