Finally picked uptake trade winds. It was pitch dark last night but we felt it as we moved from one weather system to another.  From the coldish N Westerly that caused all the trouble to the warmer N East Trades.
We are now running dead downwind with a full main and poled out genoa. The sun is shining. This is payback time.
Yesterday we celebrated the end of the storm, crossing the Tropic of Cancer and, of course my (Pat’s) birthday. We celebrated with fruitcake and champagne - fruitcake with the fruitcakes!
