27th April   DENIA

38 51.0 N   00 11.8 E

A little bit of wind, occasionally force 2, right behind us, and a bit of a swell. The chandler at Marina Greenwich was open before we left, and wired me an adapter (to allow my small connector to fit the large sockets common at some marinas), this was something on my to do list for a while.

We stopped the engine occasionally to see if there was any wind other than what we were generating; lots of boats about, but all under power. The area seemed to have escaped the excesses of apartment building that has ravaged much of the rest of the coast, scenery was beautiful.

It was an easy day – left at 10.35 and were at Denia at 15.15. Big marina, loads of facilities – but no laundry/launderette, which is a pain. Charlotte and Nigel had been a pretty good crew, so thought would buy them dinner. They wandered into town and I discovered them on the main drag just after I had bought a Snickers ice cream cone which I was getting stuck into. Still had shorts on, so schlepped back to the boat (a good 20 mins at a fast clip) to dress for dinner etc.

Then back and a good meal at a place whose name I forget (seemed very popular with Germans)….no football for a change!
