Position 37:30.90N 76:21.30W Deltaville, VA
We have heard nice things about Deltaville so we plow up the bay into a strong tide(??) and pull into Godfrey Bay opposite Deltaville.
Lots of large houses and private docks. The Chesapeake is not what we expected. You have to stay a long way off shore to avoid the shallows so you don’t get to see much of the coastline and there is a lot more industrial building lining the banks than we imagined.
Deltaville is sleepy place and has no real town centre, just a strip of eclectic shops and services running between the various dilapidated boatyards, still it has a peacefulness to it which is very appealing and Fishing Bay is a lovely anchorage to relax in... so we do... for a few days!
