Noeluna en route pour Singapour

Dear All,

Only 200 miles to go, we start feeling the land…We will probably get there in the early hours of Friday. No suitable opportunity for swimming today. If anything, we went through one more squall this morning, but a small one, with winds between 35 and 40 knots and lots of rain. In the afternoon, blue sky and bright sun but heavy swell.

One can’t help envy Matthieu, Marie-Anne, Ferdinand and Marguerite who will enjoy the fantastic opportunity to continue the adventure in quite unknown territories, following Magellan’s path, another fellow sailor. Life is beautiful and sailing is one of the best part of it. Noeluna is a fine boat, sane and solid if not the quickest and definitely very comfortable. May the wind be with you!

So, St Lucia next. We are now betting to guess from which distance we will start seeing the land. Given that we will probably arrive by late night, we might see a light house from quite far away, so not easy to guess. Our numbers vary between 6 and 40 miles, so not quite a consensus. We hope to convince Come to take his anti sea sickness patch away for the picture as  we cross the line but he now looks pretty addicted to it. We have just started to inform him about land sickness as our bodies are now completely tuned to sea mode and we are constantly moving our bodies to balance. The smell of ti-punch is keeping us alert and it will be a very nice feeling to get to a nice bar in Rodney Bay and order 4 of them. Maybe we will buy a newspaper too to see what the world now looks like: have the apes taken over yet? We feel very open minded at this stage. It is not that often that one gets cut from everything for 3 weeks and there is nothing like sailing to get away from everything. Of course, we are not completely cut out but still, when you are on the seas, your mind is gone from the business world and we are not missing it whatsoever. The main concerns are the weather and the chafe and everything else comes next. Nice and simple life.

Happy night and  happy Thursday from the blue world of Noeluna
