Dear Blog

Another successful 24 hours though we had to motor from 3am this morning, However we have the code 0 up now and are doing 7 knots. our voygae so far shown on the chartplotter

We were pushed by the adverse wind below (west of) the plumb line (due N) initially but now have made east of it and should be able to point Bermuda when the wind returns from the northeast tonight. In by tomorrow afternoon. We are now north of the Canaries and one can feel it at night (3 layers on top last night but still shorts which I am determined to continue with!) although the days are still hot. Water temp now < 21C so swimming in Bermuda will be brief! We are now only 750 miles from Chesapeake Bay and about the same to New York. Wish I had had time to do the Turks and Caicos and the Bahamas.

Saw the first ship for 2 days this morning - and there is no marine life at all - no whales or dolphins and I suppose we are too far from land for birds. Had a flying fish in the cockpit overnight tho'. Too small to eat!

Should have 4 full days in Bermuda to explore and do maintenance. BTW Sarah has now done her longest voyage ever - 4 nights at sea and it will be 5 by the time we are in. Well done her!!
