Well this was the big day - a 2,300 nm flight from Honolulu to Merced, California.    Took off in the dark and landed in the dark - that is quite a feat!!!!!!

The airplane was fabulous.   We flew the entire trip at 11,000 feet - without oxygen cannula's irritating the nose for 12 hours.   There was no wind advantage today at higher altitudes and this airplane flies really well at the lower levels as well as up in oxygen territory.   Averaged 185 nm per hour burning less than 13 gph.   Of course a tailwind helped!!!!

Glad this one is over and only one more flight - back to Boundary Bay in Canada where we started - to complete the RTW adventure.
