Another 8 hour flight up to Honolulu today. We were delayed 2 hours on departure waiting for US Customs to approve our landing request. I was quite surprised to find that none of the airports in Hawaii are Airports of Entry. They are Landing Rights Airports and require a separate type of landing permission. Do not fly internationally without landing approval at a Landing Rights airport!!!
However Customs and Immigration people were very helpful and did as much as they could to help us get everything cleared. I will tell you more about the tricky entry procedures when I update the Log Book
We will be here for 4 or 5 days before the big hop over to California.
