Gidday Everyone,

Yesterday was a great first day at sea: nice and flat, perfect for getting back into it. In the afternoon we started our traditional "arrival time sweepstakes", with each person's guess going into a sealed envelope, not to be opened until our arrival in Bali. With the good conditions estimates may have been on the optimistic side... Then just as the sun went down we caught a lovely Spanish mackerel.

It's been just over 24 hours since our departure from TI yesterday and we're 197 closer to Bali which is pretty good, an average speed of around 8 knots. Unfortuantely right now we're bouncing up and down a bit motoring straight into a head wind and sea and our speed is down to 6.2 knots at times. If this continues we'll get there on the 9th... bad luck for those that guessed the 7th yesterday when the going was good!

The good news is Mike seems to have fixed the watermaker problem for now (our water was tasting a little like we were getting it out of a stagnant pond!) so at least we'll stay cool and hydrated. It's 34 degrees on deck and even jumping in the sea would barely cool you down: it's only 3 degrees less!

Lots of love,
Mike, Sarah, Andrew, Linda, Dave, Jackie
