Hello Everyone!

Well we finally made it out of Phuket! After half the crew were struck down by some vile South East Asian virus (ok, maybe just a bit of food poisoning, who knows?) which further delayed our departure by a day (we'd already stayed a couple of days longer than planned waiting for a package from the US) we left Yacht Haven Marina yesterday morning. (Actually three to the day since we joined My Way in Australia!) We've had light winds and predominantly flat seas since, motor sailing with just a headsail up to help us along. It's already been an eventful trip, with dolphins, rain squalls, lightning, some big commercial ships and a few very strange floating packages that looked like they may be awaiting pickup by men named Fingers and El Presidente in a black boat. Oh, and a guitar! Yes, we picked up a guitar we found floating off the southern tip of Phuket yesterday, complete with one intact string! More amazing still was that a mile later we found half a drum set and what looked like several sheets of old Hendrix music. You see some weird things at sea!

So we're all in good spirits, ticking the miles off to Port Blair in the Andaman Islands. We're already half way there, should be in tomorrow. 'Til then, happy April Fools Day!

All the best from Mike, Sarah, Phil, Nic, Carlos, Jimmy
