Sorry for no comms in the race til now. We had a
great start and led the fleet through into the first night. It was great to be
actually racing and nice to have a good start. Still theres 1180 miles to
go!
Weather was crap - cold and raining and everything
got soaked cold etc wet tired.
Now better and sunny. Just in shorts and t
shirts.

Boat is going lovely. We had a problem with our
spinnaker caused by us taking our eye off it to sort the laptop!!
It was a right pain and lost us a few minutes. But
we handled the crisis quite well and didnt even tear the sail. I thougt we would
have to cut it free.
Just did 199 miles in last 24 hrs - if only we
hadnt had kite problem we would have done 200.
We are eating well and in good
spirits.
