Hello,

Presently sailing downwind under the A2, with about 10 knots of breeze and glorious sunshine, everyone in good spirits hanging out with their shorts and sunnies on - pretty relaxed really......

Me, Clingers, and Wakelin are technically on watch presently though I am downstairs filling in the log, reporting to ARC and writing this and Matt Howard, George and Johnathan H are doing as much of our watch as we can convince them to do.

Paul W having a spell at the helm as he prepared (and cleaned up after) every meal and cup of tea/coffe thus far - fine wife material! We felt it was only right to let him have abreak from rafting (catamarans) and have a go on proper boat....

Well into watch system now and my watch Paul and clingers will be getting in the nest at 1400 having only slept for about 3 hours up to now, when we wer off watch between 0200 and 0600, we will be last to get the second sleep in.

We have an anenome (think that is how you spell it) on the transom not sure whether to prise him off or allow him passage to St Lucia (a mere 2650 miles away)! We have left him whilst we decide....

The transom toilet has been well and truly christened by many of the crew this morning, no further details necessary!

Having got numerous forecasts regarding the low in the atlantic disurbing the NE trade winds this year it is already apparent it wont be a quick crossing though we hope to push hard to get there in best possible time.

Mr and Mrs Clingan - Ian says all the best, enjoy NZ and we will try to facilitate a more personal response in the next couple of days.

ARc submission deadline looming got to go......
