Hi Chris,
Our position:
LATTITUDE= 34
46 37 N
LONGITUDE= 11
54 54 W
Other
info= On
the rhum line, slow progress though
Nav:
COURSE STEERED= 209
SPEED= 8.2
Weather Observations:
WINDSPEED= 14.4
DIRECTION=
354
TRENDS= The
breese has been up and down all night but no more than 15 and as low as
8 and it keeps going from about 020 to 350, not sure if this is a
swell associated thing as we have a fairly large swell from our port
midships.
TIDE=
-
SEASTATE= As
above
Intentions/status:
Intention is to remain on rhum line sourse of 209
until we get there, my concern is that we need to turn the engine off for about
10hours to have enough fuel to motor the rest of the way. The wind definitely
seems lighter than the gribs suggest and further North, not sure of your views
on this?
Appart from the diesel concerns all is well we have the main and preventer
and we're just rolling along, computer puts us at 436 miles away and
51hours.
Speak soon,
Hugh.
