A New Passenger and Another Visit from Dolphins

On watch last night, Geoge picked up a little stow away. While he was standing at the helm a little bird landed, plop, onto the stairs down to the saloon. It took quite a shining to George and sat in his hands for most of the watch. It kept Mark company on the following watch too. He made a little nest for it in the rope bag and now and again it would take a little stroll around the cockpit to see what was going on. On the last night watch James watched it fly off to wherever it was headed after its little rest on board.

This morning we were lucky enough to have a second visit from Dolphins. At first a couple of the approached the boat and played for a while before quickly heading off again. We thought they'd gone but then with a flourish they were back with reinforcements, five of them playing off the bow wave. Sadly again we didn't manage to get a photo as they are so quick in and out of the water. Better luck next time we hope.

Apart from that we are all in our normal daytime positions. James flat out sleeping in the saloon, George also down in the saloon with a book, Mark and Becci on deck fighting over who's the quickest at the Soduku puzzles and me, after writing this, back on deck to read the last chapter in a novel borrowed from Becci. The seas are still huge and its still blowing a gale so getting around is a little difficult. It would be really handy to have an extra hand to hold on with. Cooking has become all but impossible but we are soldiering on with the various tinned concoctions. We've got the lines out today hoping for some fresh fish so keep your fingers crossed!
