150 miles until we gybe South and head for the doldrums.  Has been pretty good sailing in 18 to 20+ knots for the last three days but seas still very confused and extremely roly poly.  Looking forward to heading South on the other Gybe when the waves should be in a more favourable direction.  From then we have around 1200 miles to the Marquesas.  Looks like we will hit the doldrums around 3-400 hundred miles after we gybe = around 2 days.  From then it's more than likely going to be engine on and motoring through the light winds.  On the plus side we are all equator crossing virgins so looking forward to paying homage to Neptune (as is traditional when crossing the equator) and having a wee party.

Had our tuna supper yesterday - formidable cooking skills from Stuart and myself (Will).  Not much success since although we have snagged a Dolphin (don't worry - it got free), Stuart caught a Shark (see blurry pic) and about half an hour ago we even managed to hook a bird which dived for one of our squids (after a brief barefoot waterskiing experience at around 10 kts it got free!)
