Dear All,

As we leave the proximity of the Cape Verdes islands we have done about 900 nautical miles and are reaching the important milestone of 2000 miles to go to Martinique.

After the earlier bumpy weather we are now enjoying delightful 15 knot North Easterly winds and are “goosewinging” with the mainsail full out on Starboard and the Genoa full out on port.

Blue Jade is fully in the groove and sailing well.

We are all finding more time to enjoy the delightful weather and relax.

After our earlier “first in fleet” success with our 3kg calamari we have been barren on the fishint g front however last night we broke our fish jinx and hauled in a 2cm long fish which was hiding in a piece of weed that got trapped on one of our lines. We called him mininemo. He was looking unhappy in our bucket today so we released him back to the ocean. Next goal is to catch a decent tuna. Attaching a small photo (only 14 kb thanks to the great PhotoRazor program.

All in excellent health and a very good mood on the boat.
