Fri.  Easy 15 mile passage across the Ijsselmeer to Enkhuisen, another Dutch East India port and reputedly the best preserved example. Off on the bikes to explore. Stunning!

 

Sat. Early circuit of the museum, then a 15 mile passage to Monickendam, another historic port at the southern end of the Markermeer.  Off on the bikes to visit Edam, home of the waxy cheese.  Lovely town but full of tourists. Cycle tracks are brilliant, clear signposting, smooth surfaces. Water and birdlife everywhere.  Well worth an extended visit in the future.
